Face on Mars. Critique.
New partial images. /id4.html

JPL / MSSS teams continue to try new images of Cydonia. The spacecraft MGS has already minor problems and apparently NASA cannot easily
target accurately the 'Face' with the high resolution camera. Thus in latest release (jan-2001) only two pieces of the 'Face' are present.
The first is about 1/3 of the Face-mesa (North-West portion) and the second a minimal edge of pedestal (South-East) which has been ignored by most
researchers. Here they go our corresponding compositions with mention of the currently best expert in image processing, Dr. MJ Carlotto.

New 1/3 of Face.

Several authors, including team of R. Hoagland (enterprisemission.com), have competently manipulated and commented this significant portion which has excellent resolution. We don't post here the positive because (taken near noon hours) it seems a better match for the sunrise negative. Total confirmation of the complete apr-1998 caption.

New very small piece of pedestal.

Dr. Carlotto continues with exclusive use of the MGS positives. He ignores Ignatius and Lahoz about Fine-Art and seemingly stresses the ultimate goal of getting a true 3D sculpture which mimics the Face-mesa as crafted by martian Artist. Here we have 'reversed' his outstanding work to the negative. Carlotto already included previous 1/3 and we have added, as inset, the tiny new piece of pedestal. Excellent enhancement in the eastern, undulated, portion of the shroud.
